Thomas Horgan Obituary

HORGAN Thomas Robert Horgan, 77, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2003. Born in Rochester, New York, he and his family have lived in Jacksonville since 1958. He served 23 years of dedicated service to the United States Navy, and 10 years to U.S Postal Service, retiring from both. He worshipped at St. Matthews Catholic Church. A devoted father, father-in-law, and grandfather, he always thought of the best interests of his children. Mr. Horgan was preceded in death by his wife, Helen A. Horgan in 2000, and his daughter, Cynthia Ann Horgan in 1959. Survivors include his loving and dedicated sons, Thomas E. Horgan, Timothy B. Horgan, and Terrance L. Horgan (Moira); grandchildren, Sean, Daniel, and Heather Horgan; sister, Jane St. George, brother-in-law, Gerald and Betty Anderson; sister-in-law, Martha Jean and Walter Kitchen; and several nephews and nieces. Father Luke McLoughlin will celebrate a Memorial Mass at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 1773 Blanding Blvd., at 10:00 AM Friday, March 21, 2003. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements by HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 729 S. Edgewood Avenue.
