David Snyder Obituary

David G. Snyder

David G. Snyder, 84, of Kunkletown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg surrounded by his family.

David was born in Eldred Township, the son of the late Henry Snyder and Elsie (Rau) Snyder.

After high school, David was in the military police in the Army National Guard.

He was a self-employed professional barber for over 60 years, and owner of David's Creative Scissors in Forks Township, Easton.

David was a beloved member of both the Pocono and Easton communities.

David was an avid fisherman, hunter, and home builder, having built four homes and many home additions.

Throughout his life, he enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing in Canada with his son and brothers. He enjoyed his retirement years in Florida with his wife.

David is survived by his loving wife, Betty (Kresge) Snyder with whom he shared 57 years of marriage; his son, Eric Snyder of Kunkletown; daughter, Erin Soulliard and her husband, Eric, of Souderton; two grandchildren, Dane and Emery; brothers, John Snyder and his wife, Marion, Thomas Snyder, Henry Snyder and his wife, Bonnie, of Kunkletown; sisters, Barbara Green and Marguerite Daransky and her husband, George.

David was preceded in death by his siblings, Louise Green, Christine Snyder and Elma Werkheiser.

Services: The family will hold a memorial celebration at a later date. The Kresge Funeral Home in Brodheadsville has been entrusted with arrangements.
