Joseph W. Zaprazny

Joseph W. Zaprazny, 86, of New Ringgold, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in his home.

He was the founder of J.W. Zaprazny, Inc., a metal recycling facility which he founded in the late 1950s. He worked continuously with his wife and later with his daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons to help grow the business. He leaves behind him a bereaved family and an indelible mark on the metal recycling industry.

Born on Saturday, June 18, 1938, in Emmaus, he was one of eight children of the late John and Maria (Jiran) Zaprazny.

Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Elizabeth (Yakub) Zaprazny, to whom he fondly referred to as "Betty;" two daughters, Michelle Zaprazny Vesay and Elizabeth M Kline, their two spouses David G Vesay and Kevin Kline; four grandchildren, David, Rio, Ella and Sarah; and a great grandson Theodore.

To the family of Joe,
My deepest sympathy to all of you. I didn't know Joe personally. But in passing in and out the salvage yard, he was always nice to me. I'm sure he will be greatly missed.
