Michael Soloman Obituary

Michael F. Solomon, 92, of Nazareth, formerly of Temple and Summit Hill, passed away on Saturday, June 9, in Nazareth. He was the husband of the late Mary Respecta and the late Mary Stunz.
Born in Summit Hill, he was a son of the late Frank and Anna (Bak) Solomon.
He worked for the Parish Press Steel and then for Dana Corp. in Reading for over 25 years.
He served in the Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre, and also served during the Korean War in the U.S.
Michael was a member of the Summit Hill American Legion Post and St. Mary Catholic Church, Reading.
Surviving are sisters, Nancy Chabala of Summit Hill, Irene Trojan of Jeanette, Frances Tyahla of McLean, Va., and Martha Popp of Bethlehem; step-daughters, Sandra Reinert and her husband George of Hereford and Judy Lucas and her husband Barry of Reading; grandchildren, Ricky Emerich, Lori Mauger, Jeffrey Zeiber, Tracey Polocheck, Michael Shannon and James Kofroth.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Frank, John and Andrew; sisters, Mary Olsovsky, Helen Moyer, Anna Zulick and Kathryn Solomon; and a step-daughter, Mary Ellen Mumma
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, Thomas J. Parambo Funeral Home, 54 W. Fell St., Summit Hill, with the Rev. James Burdess officiating. Military interment, SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Summit Hill. Call 10-11 a.m. Friday. Summit Hill American Legion service 10:45 a.m. Friday. Online condolences may be signed at www.parambofh.com.
