Nancy Lesisko

Nancy K. Lesisko, 84, of New Ringgold, passed away on June 17, 2025, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Leo Lesisko with whom she celebrated 63 years of marriage at the time of his death in 2024.

Born in Tamaqua, Nancy was a daughter of the late Stanley J. and Kathryn (Follweiler) Hadesty. A 1958 graduate of Tamaqua High School, she was the owner of Nan-Lee's Fine Apparel in Tamaqua for 40 years where she frequently offered fashion shows of the clothing offered in her boutique. Nancy was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the board of trustees of the former Coaldale State Hospital, and a lifelong member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Tamaqua. After retirement, she enjoyed feeding the birds and small animals in her yard, growing a variety of plants, watching movies, and seeing her granddaughters grow up.

She is survived by three sons, Thomas and his wife Christine of New Ringgold, Lee and his wife Jennifer of Kresgeville, and Jon and his wife Michelle of Hebron, Connecticut; two granddaughters, Noelle Stidham and her husband Jay, and Sarah Hollenbach and her husband Nick; four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Eli, Emma and Marlee; one brother, Richard Hadesty of Tamaqua; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; six brothers, David, James, Donald, Raymond, Alfred and Thomas Hadesty; and two sisters, Marie Howells and Eleanor Hadesty.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff and administration of the 5th floor at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital for the excellent care and compassion that they provided to Nancy.

Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 21, at Trinity United Church of Christ, 22 Lafayette Street, Tamaqua, with The Rev. Darryl Kensinger officiating. Interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua, will follow the services. Call from 10-11 AM on Saturday at the church.
