Abby Harrington (Kronk)

Abby Harrington Forbis passed away on August 24, 2015, at Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania at 85 years of age. She was born during the Depression to Clarence and Lucille (Rosenthal) Kronk. Abby was a graduate of Whitmer High School, attended the University of Toledo, and worked for Dempsey Optical until her marriage to Gerald E. Forbis in 1949. Throughout her marriage, Abby helped her husband design and build homes in the Sylvania area and together they enjoyed collecting antiques. Abby was a creative decorator and homemaker, providing many special holiday memories for her family and friends.

Abby is survived by her daughter, Jill Woodyard; grandson, Robin (Wendy) Zaletta, and was Nana to four great-granddaughters, Emmalyn, Alaina, Lydia, and Margo Zaletta. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Barbara Kronk and Madalyn Kronk and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald; son-in-law, Daniel Woodyard, and her two brothers, Bruce Kronk and Jan Kronk.

Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Saturday, August 29 after 11 a.m. where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be private.
