Barbara Ann Lashaway

November 29, 1936 - October 23, 2024

Barbara Ann Lashaway, 87, of Perrysburg, passed away on October 23, 2024, at St. Clare Commons in Perrysburg, with her family at her side. She was born on November 29, 1936, to Elmer and Dorothy (Reitzel) Morlock. She married Leroy J. Lashaway on February 15, 1958, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Stony Ridge. Barbara and Leroy raised 3 sons, and have celebrated over 66 years of marriage together.

Following graduation from high school, Barbara graduated from the Mercy School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She went on to work at Mercy Hospital, and later for a local doctor's office, before she became a full-time homemaker, taking care of a husband and 3 sons. A woman of great faith, she was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Stony Ridge, where she participated in many ministries. She was a member of the Five Point Steam Threshers, an honorary lifetime member of the NWO Antique Machinery Association, National Threshers Association, and Boy Scouts of America Troop #259, Perrysburg. In addition, she was one of the founding members of the Perrysburg Township EMS Volunteers, and was a volunteer for numerous other associations. One of Barbara's favorite jobs was working as the school nurse at Penta. However, her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Leroy, Barbara is survived by her sons, Steven (Beth) Lashaway, and James (Lydia) Lashaway, both of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Morgan (Ryan) Lenke, Drew (Sherri) Lashaway, Dana (Alessio) Giorgerini; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, David Lashaway; and her parents.

Family and friends will be received 9:30-11:30 a.m., with a funeral service at 11:30 a.m., Monday, October 28, 2024, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 5520 Fremont Pike, Stony Ridge, Ohio. Officiating will be Pastor Cindy Ritter. Barbara will be laid to rest in New Belleville Ridge Cemetery, Dowling, following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to St. John's Lutheran Church. Those wishing to express a word of encouragement, share a memory, or photo may do so at www.marshfuneralhomes.com
