Beverly Ellison Obituary
March 30, 1933 - June 17, 2025
Beverly Ann Ellison, 92, of Erie, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Aspen Grove in Lambertville, Michigan surrounded by her loving family. Born March 30, 1933 in Toledo, Ohio she was the daughter of Charles and Blanche (Sugrue) Scheater. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1951 and married the love of her life, Donald L. Ellison on April 19, 1952 at St. Josephs Church in Erie, Michigan. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2018. Before raising her family, Beverly was employed with Ransom and Randolph and Buckeye Brewery as a bookkeeper.
Beverly retired from Erie Mason Consolidated School System after 17 years of service (1971 – 1989). She loved to cook, sew, but above all, the most important role was mother, and grandmother. Never missing a special occasion. She was a beautiful example of what a wife, mother and grandmother, should be.
Along with her husband Donald, Beverly is preceded in death by her son, Warren Ellison; and great-grand son, Bronson Sanders.
Surviving are her loving children, Steven (Amy) Ellison, Beth (Jeff) Thieman and Jennifer Ellison as well as 9 grand and 11 great grand children.
Funeral services for Beverly will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2214 Manhattan Street Erie Michigan 48133 on Friday, June 20, 2025 where she will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. with her mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Erie, Michigan. Beverly's family would like to extend a special thanks to her care givers, Deborah Kelleher and Morgan Cukierski for their care and comfort, and the staff at Aspen Grove, as well as Aurora at Heartland Hospice.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Joseph Catholic Church School, Erie, Michigan.
