Bobbie (Hunter) Ray

Bobbie Ray passed away on September 12, 2023, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. She was born October 10, 1938, to Glen E. and Edith M. (Roberts) Hunter in Asheville, NC. Her family moved to Toledo in 1953 where she attended Waite High School, enjoying many school activities. Bobbie graduated from Waite in 1957 and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Toledo where she graduated Cum Laude. Bobbie's last place of employment was as a Registered Neuro-Diagnostic Technologist at the Medical College of Ohio, from 1982 to 2004 when she retired as Chief-Charge Technologist of the EEG/LTME Laboratory. Bobbie enjoyed her life with beloved family, friends, her work, music, art, theater, travel and attending services at Emmanuel Baptist Church. One hobby she enjoyed was using her computer and digital camera with which she took photos of all family events and created albums on her Facebook. Bobbie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, step-grandmother, step-great grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Bobbie married Eugene Ray, the love of her life, in 1958 and was preceded in death by him; her brother, Glenn J. Hunter, niece, Shelley Hunter Jimenez and step-grandson, Nicholas Vernon. She is survived by her son, Philip E. (Cathy) Ray; granddaughter, Cassie; grandson, Corey L. (Claire) Ray; great grandsons, Silas and Liam; step-grandchildren, Danial (Samantha Bella) Urban and Terry (Chasity) Urban Jr.; step-great granddaughters, Sloan and Everly Urban; step-great grandsons, Austen and Zeke Urban. Also surviving are nephews, Glen A. (Suzanne) Hunter, Brian (Trish) Hunter; great nephews, Colby Hunter, Josh and Dustin Jimenez and great niece, Hollie Anne Hunter. She also had an extended family with Judy Ray Fisher, whom she greatly appreciated. They lovingly called her Aunt Bobbie.
