Clara Anna Leruth, age 92, of Toledo's Point Place community, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at The Toledo Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 16, 1923, in Riga, MI to Emiel and Marie (Desimpelaere) Wielfaert. Clara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, devoted to her family and home. A wonderful cook and baker, renowned for her banana cake and chocolate chip cookies, she was also a skilled seamstress, who enjoyed sewing Halloween costumes for her grandchildren. Being a grandmother was Clara's true love. She also enjoyed dancing with her husband Felix and, later in life, line-dancing. She was a member of the Belgian-American Club and a longtime parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where she volunteered on the funeral luncheon committee. A breast cancer survivor, Clara was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She also prided herself on obtaining her beautician's license.

Clara is survived by her daughter, Maria (Steve) Jadwisiak; son, Michael (Angela) Leruth, and grandchildren, USAF SSgt. Christopher Jadwisiak, Caitlin Jadwisiak, Sophie Leruth and Alice Leruth. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Felix Leruth, and brothers, Morris, Elmer, Arthur, Albert and George.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., where members of the St. John the Baptist Church Altar Rosary Society will lead a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Deerfield, MI.
