One smile from David and everything was right with the world. He had a smile that was lit from within, it was genuine, and it was beautiful. My deepest condolences to you, Chrissy, and to the rest of your family. David's light has only dimmed, it can never be put out.

David and I were best friends at EBHS...he was there when I married and we lost touch over the years. We reconnected a year ago and became as close as ever when he returned to Ohio. The past few months I have spent countless hours with him and it was good to feel his love and see his breathtaking smile. It was hard to have found him that day but I have one memory to remember and that was, god took him peacefully. No more pain, no more suffering and he is looking down smiling and finding some small way to make us laugh and remember. I will never forget you my dearest friend and you will forever live in my heart. Thank you for bringing me back to life with just who you are....I love you!

David, you are one of the few people who demanded that i learn to be honest with not only myself but with others. for that i will always be grateful. you are an important part of my life which shaped me into the person i am today. we all may have had some tough times but damn, did we laugh. while those of us left behind may be feeling sadness, i know you have found peace.

I do not even know where to start. On how many times I have been with David, threw the good times and the bad. So many years with your whole family. You and David riding my bus and all the fun we had.
We go back to when you were both in 4-5 grade. That is a long time. But good times.
When he jumped out my back door while I was driving down the road. That was just David having fun.
I about had a heart attack, watching him jump out the back door of my bus. But he did not get hurt and just stood up and smiled at me.
I wish I could take your pain away for you. He had come so far this past year, life is just not fare.
He had sent me some of his drawings he had so much talent and so much to offer the world.
His time was cut short and we will never know why god took him away so soon. But David was loved
and I am sure he is sitting up there looking down at all of us with that cute smile on his face.
You know we are here for you Chris, and if there is anything we can do to help we will.

One of my best friends so many years ago. Someone who taught me how to enjoy life and showed me some of the most happiest times in my life. I miss those days of peanut butter sandwiches in the middle of the night and you teaching me how to drive in your mustang. My heart hurts for your loss but I am happy you have finally found peace.

To the Basford family, I knew David as a small boy when his family lived on Albon Rd. When you went to visit you had to take your keys because David at 2 would start your car and try to drive. He was always fun to be around. Prayers are with you all. Junior & Bertha Showman

I miss you so incredibly. My heart hurts, I can't believe your gone. I keep waiting for your call or text or something. I drive and I feel like I should be driving to you and...darling, this hurts. I know your happy and your whole but life will never be the same. But, I know you would want me to celebrate your life and remember the AWESOME time we had and the love we shared together. I won't forget those things. I won't forget how deeply you have touched my soul and it has touched yours back. Wait for me in heaven dear friend and I promise to join you one day. Until then, make them all laugh up there like you did down here. I LOVE YOU SOOOOO MUCH....

I went to school with you, for a very short time. But in that time, you became a very good friend of mine. I lost you, for too many years, but found you again on Facebook, only to lose you again to God's wishes. You will be missed. The short time we spent together made me remember our time together in school talking, laughing, and crying together. Now I cry without you, as do many who knew and loved you. Be at peace David, my friend. I will see you in Heaven again some day. Always, your friend, Kathy Miller.
