David Rygalski Obituary

David "Dave" J. Rygalski

David "Dave" J. Rygalski, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully in his home on May 11, 2023, at the age of 70. Dave was born on May 24, 1952, to Joseph and Martha "Marty" (Bogdanski) Rygalski in Toledo, Ohio. He attended Woodward High School and The University of Toledo. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a proud member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1675, where he served as post and state commander. He was also a member of the VFW, PRUCA, and the Eagles.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Rygalski, of St. Joseph, MO; daughters, Sandy (Shane) Greenich, of Corning, OH, and Jamie (Andy Leitner) Rygalski of Toledo, OH; step-children, Chris (Brittany) Guess and Andrea Fry of St. Joseph, MO; former wife, Renee Rygalski of Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Rusty (Amanda) and Shainna of Corning, OH and Tariah, Makobe, Miles, Davin, Raylynn, Anniston; and a great-grandchild that is expected to arrive soon of St. Joseph, MO.

He was laid to rest on May 17th at the Ashland Cemetery in St. Joseph, MO. There will be a Celebration of Life held in his honor on Saturday, June 3rd, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Catholic War Veterans Post #1675, 5919 Teletowne Dr., #4, Toledo OH, 43612.

Memorials are requested to the Amyloidosis Foundation.
