David Joe Stout, 78, of Brooklyn, passed away at Henry Ford Hospital in Jackson, on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. David's family and friends will gather at a later date and time.

David was born on November 3, 1946, in Marshal, Missouri, to David Fowler and Marchese (Neff) Stout. David married Jan Marie (Taylor-Szpila) on January 3, 2004, in Toledo, Ohio. David served in the Air National Guard. He was an avid boater and member of the Toledo Yacht Club in Toledo, Ohio. He served as fleet captain for the Royal Palm Yacht Club and the Southwest Sea Raiders in Fort Meyers, Florida. David loved to travel, and went on cruises to various world destinations including Italy, Greece, and Spain. Later, he transitioned to pontoon boating on Lake Columbia. David was a big Ohio State football fan, and loved his dog, Varmit. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father.

David will be missed by his spouse, Jan; his children, Michael (Lesley) Stout, Mark (Carey) Stout, Zak (Tory) Taylor, and Cindy Taylor; grandchildren, Emma, Stella, Elizabeth, Sam, Lucas, Mitchell, Alyssa, Noel, and Nick; and great-grandchildren, Finnegan, Rozlynn, and Leia. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Marchese Stout; and sister, Linda.
