Uncle David- I can still see you sitting at Mom's kitchen table, sharing a good story. I have so many fond memories of you, but have picked only a few of my favorites to share. I will never forget you taking my dad to get his drivers license renewed on his birthday. Poor Dad couldn't see a thing, but passed that vision test! I think it was the greatest birthday gift my dad ever received! I giggle at the memory of you calling Lexi "sugarbutt".....and her replying to you that she was "Stinkybutt" ......she was forever your "Stinkybutt" after that! Lastly, I can still see you on your bike riding around town. :). I know you are in a better place now. You are riding your bike and my dad is driving his van. Both of you are laughing and eating apple pie. :). I love you Uncle Dave and you will be missed by many. XO

My brother, it is difficult to imagine that I will not see nor talk to you today. I'll miss your humorous stories, generous heart, and all the attributes that were part of you. Life will not be the same for any of us, but our hearts are soothed knowing that you have earned your angel wings.

David and I had the Honor and privilege of being the Founding members for Toledo Police's Honor Guard in 1986. We forged a lasting friendship thru our hard work and dedication to the Families of many Fallen Law Enforcement Officer's,locally , state wide and Nationally(Washington, DC) Our loving prayers and condolences to Family(Tharps) Rest in Peace, My Brother !

Dave was a unique character. Those of us who knew him have "Dave stories" to keep his memory alive. It is so sad to read he was in a hospice. Condolences to the family.

David, your obituary said you were funny and how you made people laugh. And that is how we remember you. Your infectious laugh and your humorous sayings brought smiles to so many.
