David Wysong Obituary

WYSONG David Lee Sr. David L. Wysong Sr., passed away peacefully in his Berkey residence, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 30, 2008, the morning following his 75th birthday. David was born August 29, 1933, in Toledo to Edward and Elsie (Cox) Wysong. On September 5, 1953, he married Virginia Lenhart at Little Flower Church in Toledo. He then turned to his passion for wood-working, became well-known in the area for the delicious bar-b-que chicken he prepared for many years for various outings and events, and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye's fan. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Virginia; children, Mary (Howard) Overmyer Sr., of Metamora, David (Coy) Jr., of Sylvania, Christine Wysong (friend, Charles Ott Jr.), of Oregon, Ohio, and Kenneth (Renee), of Metamora; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dave) Friddell, Wayne (Centa) Davis, Angela (Joe) Box, David Wysong III, Rachael Rogers, Jeffrey (Shana) Kott, Sarah Overmyer, Chelsea Overmyer, Luke Wysong, Maria and Hunter Walters, Olivia Wysong and special granddaughter, Nadine Overmyer and great-grandchildren, Travis and Tyler Friddell, Robert Underwood, Brock Davis, Alexander and David Wysong IV and Amelia Overmyer. Main St., Sylvania on Monday, September 1st, 2008, from 4-9 p.m., with a Sylvania Moose Lodge No. 1579 service at 7 p.m. followed by a Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be conducted on Tuesday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5373 S.
