Frank E. Lashley III

11/01/1943 - 11/14/2023

Frank E. Lashley III, 80, of Maumee, OH, passed away at home on Nov. 14th, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born in Toledo, OH, on November 1st, 1943, to Frank and Julia "June" Lashley.

Frank attended Macomber and graduated from Libbey High School. He served in the Air National Guard, worked at Surface Combustion, and was a millwright at Jeep until he retired after 23 years. Frank was a longtime outdoorsman and member of the Merickel-Farley Trout Club, where he shared his passion for fishing with friends and family.

Frank was preceded in death by his infant brother, Joseph; and his mother and father. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Antonia (Zielinski); his sons, Jamie (Tania) and Aaron (Brooke); his daughter, Melanie (Chris); 10 treasured grandchildren, Kayla, Payton, Paige, Ethan, Aubree, Zoe, Dane, Kami, Skylar, and Aleena; his younger siblings, Tina, Phil, Don, Dick, Tim, Larry, Julie, and Jenny, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 3-8 p.m. Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for a memorial gift at Merickel-Farley Trout Club in honor of Frank.

Tank was such a wonderful man. He was so funny and always made me laugh. I´m going to really miss him but knowing he is in the arms of our loving Father brings me joy and peace. Rest well my friend.

Frank was a valued member of the Trout Club as well as a good neighbor. He would stop sometimes on his way past my house to chat and did care about others; such as his making sure his old work pal, Scotty Haughian, made it to our meetings. Frank has already been missed during the past year or so of his serious illness.
