Gerald "Jerry" Bell

Gerald "Jerry" Bell, 84, of Perrysburg, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family after a long hard fought battle with multiple sclerosis. He was born March 13, 1940 in Berkey, Ohio to Rex and Sarah (Jordan) Bell. Jerry married Nancy Bell on October 28, 1988 and they shared 35 years together.

Jerry started his career in the automotive industry as an automotive painter and body shop manager for Moore Ford; then went on to work for Messenger Appraisal Service for several years. He was the body shop manager for Will Dennis VW and then finished his career as owner of Boerger Appraisal for 25 years. He loved cars, especially restoring them. Jerry enjoyed golfing, bowling and attending car shows. He will be remembered for his positivity, his happy demeanor and showing kindness to everyone.

Along with his wife, Nancy, Jerry is survived by his son, Jeff (Renee) Bell; grandchildren, Jordan (Katalin) Bell and Ryan (Kate) Bell; great-grandchildren, Adaline, Teddy and a baby boy on the way; siblings, Darlene (Bill) Bilger, Larry ( Robbin DeGennaro) Bell and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Harold and Garry Bell.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 10-1 p.m. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where a funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations may be made to the MS Society or Glenwood Lutheran Church.
