Herbert Adams, age 91, passed away April 30, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Klara Adams (Krech). Cherished father of Constance Van Luit, David Adams (Amy), Valerie Henry (Dean), and Nancy Adams (David). Dear brother of John and the late Gertrude, Mary, Hilda, Florence, Pauline and Ida Mae. Son of the late Herbert and Grace (nee Martin). Loving grandfather of Michael, Patrick, Brianna, Ryan, Vanessa, David, Jessica, Derrick, Monica, Deion and the late Brandon. Herb entered the Army one month after graduating from Rittman High School and served at several posts including Fort Knox. He received the WWII Victory Medal upon discharge and attended Otterbein College on the G.I. Bill. There he met his future wife Klara. Herb worked the majority of his career at Johns Manville as a Credit Manager. He and his wife traveled extensively after retirement. He was a member of First Lutheran Church of Strongsville. Herb joined the Strongsville VFW Post 3345 in 1997 where he remained active until his death. Visitation 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. Funeral Service 10 a.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church, 19419 Royalton Road, Strongsville. Interment Sunset Memorial Park.
