Howard NEASE Obituary

NEASE Dr. Howard Dr. Howard Nease passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Florida Hospital Ginsburg Tower. An elegant man in appearance and personality, he died after a valiantly fought long illness. Howard was born in Kingman, Kansas on February 9, 1934. He was the third of five children of Evlena and Francis Nease. Raised on a farm there he learned early to appreciate the values of love God, family, and hard work. His father was a minister and Howard followed in his footsteps, receiving his Doctorate of Divinity. After ministry he joined the company, Mutual of Omaha and became an insurance executive. After 25 years with that company he founded Personal Dynamics in Toledo, Ohio in the 1960's. In this endeavor he found his true niche as a corporate and individual training consultant. The training was comprised of encouraging people in their careers and in their personal lives to live synergistically, creating situations where everyone wins. A tireless encourager, he was often referred to as the nicest person you would ever want to meet. Howard retired to Florida in 1996 and met and married Dolores Stephens. They had sixteen wonderful years together. They loved their homes as much as they loved to travel. In the latter years she became his steadfast caretaker and survives him. The family would like to thank the dedicated doctors and nurses at the Florida South Ginsburg Tower 5th floor ICU for their care of Howard and their unparalleled compassion for him and his family. Everyone is heartbroken. Brothers, Harold and Leland Nease; son, Michael, and great-grandchild, Nevaeh predecease him. Howard's surviving siblings are brother, James Nease; wife, Theresa; sister, Lola Cornelison and husband Bill. His surviving children include sons, Rick, Greg and wife Melinda, Randy, Jeff and wife Denise, and daughter Debbie and her husband William Cook. Also surviving Howard are his grandchildren David, Rebecca, Cody, Chelsea, Matthew, Jeffrey, Patrick, Ryan, Brandon, and William. He was like a father to wife Dolores' children, Charlotte and husband Bud Williams, son Scott and his wife Susan, and a grandfather to their beloved children, Austin and Audrey. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 10:30 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Winter Park, Florida. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 at the church.

My whole family went to the personal dynamics class in Toledo and it improved our life so much. What a wonderful mentor.

I have very fond memories of Howard and Johnny Nease. Howard and Al Oberdick changed my life in Personal Dynamics, Inc at the Personal Effectiveness Seminar. I was on death´s doorstep, one moment away from suicide. They guided me to transform my life in a 4 day weekend in 1980. After that, I worked side by side with Howard and Al attending every event as guest and as manager for a year before moving to Houston. I will remember him fondly as an Angel in my life. I had heard that he moved to Florida but on this Easter Sunday morning as I give my gratitude to the Lord, Howard is on the top of my mind this morning. Honoring the Wisdom and unconditional Love that he shared with me so many years ago.

My condolences to all of Howard's family. Like many have said, the teaching at P.D.I. was life-changing and I'm so glad I was a part of it. I still cherish friendships I made there and wisdom gained. Many happy memories.
