Jack KELLER Obituary

KELLER Jack G. Jack G. Keller, 89, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Jack was a graduate of North Side High School, was a US Army WWII Veteran and also a member of the Fort Wayne Zollner Pistons from 1941-1943. He worked as a Superintendent of Transportation with Conrail Railroad for 36 years, retiring in 1984. Surviving are his sons, Thomas (Vicki) Keller and Robert (Linda) Keller; daughters, Jacqueline (John) Tippmann all of Fort Wayne and Amy (Jim) DeVerna of Genoa, OH; 13 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Chalcie Keller and Wave Schnurr; wife, Mary Joan Keller, and sister, Wanda Horne. Service is 10 a.m., May 7, 2012, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012, at the funeral home. Jackie,
My condolences go out to you and your family. I am so sorry to learn your Dad passed away. I remember the good times I had at your house. Your Dad was a good man with a terrific sense of humor. Nan Van Hoose

My condolences to Jack's family. He was a great guy. I worked with Jack as his secretary on the railroad in Toledo, Ohio for many years. My husband Robert was an Engineer and also worked for him. We kept in touch with him over the years. Jack was a big man with a big heart.
