James Schmaus Obituary

SCHMAUS James James Schmaus, age 60, of Delta and formerly of Swanton, passed away on Tuesday May 6, 2008, at Flower Hospital, Sylvania. Jim was born in Toledo on November 25, 1947, to Alfred and Alta (Micham) Schmaus. He married Cindy McCoy in Toledo on April 19, 1969. Jim was a millwright working for Local 1393 retiring in 2000. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed bowling, deer hunting, attending classic car shows, and was an avid follower of the Swanton High School band. A devoted husband, father, brother, son and friend he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving are his loving wife, Cindy; son, Clinton; daughter, Ashley; brother, Donald; mother, Alta and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred and infant son, James A. Schmaus II; Friends will be received in the Neville Funeral Home Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) from 2-9 p.m. Friday where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, with Pastor Dennis King officiating. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
