Jeffrey Shea, 54, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 13, 2016, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born October 18, 1961, to the late Jerry and Virginia Shea, the youngest of seven children.
He graduated from Start High School, and attended the University of Toledo. Following in the footsteps of his father and three brothers, he worked in the furniture business most of his life, most recently at “The Mattress Firm” as assistant manager.
Although furniture was in his blood, he was a chef at various restaurants back in the 80's and actually loved cooking all his life.
Another great passion was folk dancing with the “Deutsche Trachtengruppe” (a German folkdance group) for 25 years, with performances at the German American Festival.
He also loved watching old movies with his brother Joe.
Jeff is survived by his brothers, Jim, Joe and Mike. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Pat Shea-Burch, Janet Shea-Evans, and brother, Kenny Shea.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
We wish to express our sincere gratitude to the ICU-team at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center for all the loving and thoughtful care.
Memorial plans will be private, and services announced at a later date.
