Jerome Spice Obituary
August 23, 1959 - March 19, 2023
Jerome Clayton Spice ("Jerry") died on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He was a long-time resident of Dearborn, Michigan. Jerry was born on August 23, 1959 to Burt and Jane Spice of Toledo, Ohio. He was the 4th child of six children. He attended Wernet's Corner Elementary School, Old Orchard Elementary, and then graduated from Bedford High School in 1978.
Jerry worked as a visual manager for Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus (both in Texas and Michigan), where he was widely known for his gifts with design, creative mind, and strong leadership. Close to his retirement, he became the frame shop manager at a Michael's in Livonia and then Allen Park, Michigan. His family and friends will remember his zest for life, sense of humor, charismatic personality, love for water and sun, and devotion to his parents. Quite simply, there will never be another one like him.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Burt and Jane Spice; and his brother, Lee Spice. Surviving are his husband, Geoff Dickenson; sister, Cindi Farnell (Norris); brother, Brad Spice (Kim); sister, Mindy Wood (John); sister, Sara Vance (Robert); and eleven nieces and nephews.
Jerry will be interred at Erie Union Cemetery in a private family ceremony.

Was thinking about Jerry this morning. He and I worked together at TGI Fridays in Houston in the early 80s. We became fast friends. Never laughed so hard as when we were hanging out. One of the coolest guys I´ve ever known. And beautiful. He was such a handsome man.Thought I would Google him, look him up and see if he remembered me. I´m so sad to learn he passed. My deepest regrets for his family and friends. Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his old friend Jennifer back in Ohio for a long, long time.
