Joan N. Schulte

Joan N. Schulte, age 80, of Woodville, OH passed away on Friday evening, May 26, 2017 at Bay Park Community Hospital Oregon, OH. She was born on September 26th, 1936 in Toledo, OH to Gale and Helene (Bernath) Race. Joan married Wilbur Schulte on November 27, 1964 in Toledo, OH and he preceded her in death on August 4, 2009. She graduated from DeVilbiss High School, Toledo, OH. Joan had worked for the Lake Local School District in many areas and retired in 2001. Her memberships include: member of Zion Lutheran Church, Latcha, OH and its church women, former Sunday school teacher and President of W.E.L.C.A. and was also a member of the Browning Eastern Stars. In her spare time, she loved to read, travel and camp and also enjoyed delivering Daffodils for the American Cancer Society.

Joan is survived by her children, Sandra (David) Brassard of Savannah, GA, Todd Schulte of Woodville, OH; grandchildren, T.J. Schulte, Sylvia Schulte, Douglas and John Brassard. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbur; and sons, Douglas and Thomas.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home, 201 West Main Street, Woodville, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 2, at 11 a.m. from Zion Lutheran Church, Latcha, OH where there will be additional visitation from 10 a.m. until time of services. Rev. Steve Bull will be officiating. There will be a bereavement luncheon served at the church immediately following the cemetery committal service. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg, OH. Those giving a memorial contribution may wish to consider: Zion Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
