Kenneth
Kenneth “Ken” Bloomfield Sr., 66, of Gibsonburg, OH, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Cleveland Clinic after a 21-month battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Ken was born August 20, 1950, in Toledo, OH to
Kenneth and Florence
(Whipple) Bloomfield. Ken was married to Sandra
“Sandy” (Kajca) November 23, 1973. They were married 43 wonderful years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; son, Kenneth Jr. (Heather); grandchildren, Jenna, Audrey and Brian; brother, Gary (Carol); sisters, Leona Dupler, Ruth (Wayne) Brittian and Liz Bodi; and many nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and a sister,
Bonnie Peterson.
Ken was a 1969 graduate of Genoa High School and Penta Career Center. He
attended Bowling Green State
University and the University of Toledo. After 30 years of service as a toolmaker, Ken retired from Chrysler where he was a true friend to many. His hobbies included day trips, gardening, motorcycles, making things of all varieties, and Karate. Most of all Ken enjoyed eating out, eating out, eating out, and playing with his granddaughter, Jenna.
Ken will be cremated and brought home. In lieu of a funeral, friends may join the family in doing what he
enjoyed and attend a
dinner in his honor on Friday,
September 2, at Tony Packo's, 1902 Front Street, Toledo, Ohio from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Memorials in Ken's name may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research at
lustgarten.org

Kenny was a special man and friend of mine for many years. one of the best precision craftsman on the planet. he could do anything he put his mind to, thrived on challenges, and took a pride in his work. I learned a lot from Kenny and am grateful for those. Kenny will be missed by all. billy
