Kenneth Roberts Obituary

ROBERTS Kenneth T. Kenneth T. Roberts, 47, of Cambria Township, MI, passed away Monday, June 25, 2007, at the University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor. A self-employed drywall worker, he was born February 29, 1960, in Toledo, Ohio, to Ralph "Whitey" and Barbara (Smith) Roberts. Kenneth was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who loved riding his Harley-Davidson and belonged to ABATE of Michigan. He also enjoyed working in his garden, raising flowers, riding his lawn mower, and visiting the casinos. He especially liked spending time with family and friends and had a special affection for his cats. Survivors include his wife, Sally (Dunton) Roberts, whom he married June 28, 2001; mother and step father, Barbara and Jack Gascon, Toledo, OH; step mother, Judith Roberts, Sylvania, OH; daughter, Nicole Roberts, Biloxi, Mississippi, step daughter, Christina Smith, Kalamazoo, Sheldon Smith, Palm Bay, FL, Mark Smith, Kalamazoo; sisters, Shelley (Homer) VanKirk, Temperance, Sandy (Joe) Wright Sylvania, OH; brother, Terry (Tammy) Roberts, Toledo, OH; 2 step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His father preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Friday, 1:00 p.m., at the George White Funeral Home, Reading, with Pastor Don Harkey officiating. Visitation is scheduled Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. "Ride free my love."

Dad,

You are (not were), but are a wonderful dad! I just wanted to write you this last time in this book, cauz today is the last day! Now I'm ordering one for myself. Thank you for being there for me and Mark, Christina, and Nicole. We could not of asked for a better dad then what GOD sent us, YOU!!! I will be seeing you one day soon, just make sure your at the gate with Jesus and GOD when I get there!!! We'll sit back and talk about all the times we had and play some pool. Dad, I miss you and there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about you. Dad, I love you so very much!!! I know you have no more pain anymore!!! You are always in my heart, dad!!! Hi Hon!

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!

I carried on your tradition of having a cookout and bonfire on Sunday of Memorial weekend. A good time was had by all who attended in your memory.

I got all the flowers planted today and they look really pretty. David has been keeping quite busy in the yard and has it looking nice, just like you always did. He also planted a garden, which I went overboard with the tomato plants, as you liked to do!! :)

Hi My Love -

HAPPY EASTER!!

Well, here we go again! Another bad day for me. I was supposed to go to Toledo to see everyone, but, just couldn't make myself do it. So, I guess I will have to go out and snow blow the driveway instead. Maybe that will help relieve some of the frustrations I am feeling.

We're, (Kiddens & I), going to have Ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, and your favorite cake for dinner. Sure wish you were here with us!!

Dad,

Sorry it has taken so long to write again. I've been working my butt off. As you know I got married last week, to a very beautiful young lady. I know you were there, I felt your presence at the church and party. We went to Las Vegas for our honeymoon. I miss you so much. Hey dadeo Happy 48th Birthday. Sorry it's tooken so long to wright in the book I've just had a lot on my mind. I want to say that I love you and miss you with all my heart. Every second of the day is a struggle without having my supermanr here, but talking with you helps alot. You told me that I would have to go on living but its so hard I just wish you were here.
Today I will celebrate your life and everything you've given me your my best friend and the best father anyone could ask for. HI HON -

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVE!!

This has been a very hard week for me, just thinking about this day approaching. I had myself fooled that it would be okay, but, WHAM, it has hit me like a ton of bricks!! But, I do know that I have to keep going on, no matter how hard it gets. And, you know that I will.

The "KIDDENS" are all being bad today. I told them that they wouldn't be getting treats tonight for "DADS" birthday, if they didn't start behaving!! :) So, they all went to bed, (probably till I go to work!)

MERRY CHRISTMAS MY LOVE!

Well, it's been 6 months since you have been gone, and I can honestly say that of all the things that I have been through in my lifetime, this past 6 months has been the hardest for me. All I can do is take it one day at a time, as you would always say, "Life Goes On."

All the "Kiddens" are doing okay, but I know they sure do miss their "DAD", especially Patches and Peaches. Peaches and Goofy have become little roly-poly's. :)

Hey POP,

For me to say that I was blessed to have you as my DAD would be an understatement. I could write forever and ever about the things that you taught me, but I don't think they will give me the space. What you gave me was priceless, and I want to tell you again how proud I am to have the priviledge of calling you my DAD. I can't even begin to tell you how much I miss you. I miss the sound of your voice, laugh, and even your cough. I'm doing OK though, and I know you are to!!! I know your as proud as I am of Chrissy, Nicole, and Sheldon for letting everyone know what you meant to them.
