I have been thinking for a few days what to write about Mark. We were very close in high school. There are so many wonderful memories, but a few things really make me smile when I think of him. We spent a lot of time driving around in his "brown
boat of a car". He is laughing right now because I don´t remember the make or the model. We would each put a few dollars of gas in the car so we could just drive and listen to music a little longer. He loved Elvis as we all know, but we listened to a lot of classic rock. He knew how much I loved Bob Seger and when one of his songs came on he would just look at me and smile. I don´t know if you know the steering wheel was both his guitar and his drum set. That would always crack me up. My mom loved it when he came over because he would open the fridge and say, "Mrs. Park what leftovers do you need eaten?" My mom adored him. He would always make fun of me because I liked cottage cheese and toast for lunch. He would say "Who eats that for lunch?" Guess what I still do... I can tell you this, he was a wonderful friend, a person you could trust, a man who made you laugh, and he had the biggest heart. My big regret is that we only stayed in touch for a few years after I moved to Texas. He will be missed and I am sending love and prayers to his family. With how I had to sign in you might not realize this is Betsy Park (Chapman).

Wonderful memories with Mark start in 8th grade for me. We dated for the blink of an eye and broke up because I was obsessed with reading the Flowers in the Attic book series. After that, Mark became a fixture in the Kulla house - rampaging through the fridge, watching football on Sundays, or sitting in the barrel chair in the living room with headphones on belting out Journey or RUSH tunes. My dad and Mark harass each other over the silliest things such as how far can I stretch this balloon that you´re holding between your teeth. Mark was always willing to listen and be there for you whatever the need may be. He helped the Kulla´s give many a newborn baby a loving start in our foster home. Mark was always the life and entertainment of ANY party. None of the lives of the Class of 1985 would have been complete without Mark. He is and always will be our class legend. Mark - you have left an indelible mark on my heart, and I look forward to an AMAZING Marcus 25 Perry hug again someday, dear friend. Cherished visits back to Pburg will never be the same. Love forever and always, Vic

My love and prays pour out for you, Mark's family and loved ones. I am so sorry for your loss. Mark, ELVIS, Uncle Buck, sure was quit a character and was a good story teller. He lived out his dreams exquisitely impersonating Elvis, to the Tee and continued to sport some of the fun shoes and wares that gave him bragging rights. Mark had a special love for his family and will be missed dearly. May he rest in peace and still get to sing Elvis up in heaven.
