Mary Minneker Obituary

Mary Louise Hamilton Minneker

8/30/1934 - 11/6/2017

Mary Louise (Peg) Minneker passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 in Riverside, California, where she lived for the past 40 years. Formerly from Toledo, OH, where she lived on Weber Street. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, William E. Minneker Jr., and her daughter, Susanne Minneker Turnbull.

During her life, she worked at the Shoppers Herald, she was a waitress for Denny's, and she worked for See's Candies. She loved to make jelly, collect clowns, garden, drink coffee and spoil all of her family. She would help any family member in need; she was there when you needed her. She struggled for the last several years with Alzheimer's and most recently a broken hip.

Left to cherish Mary's memory are her loving daughters, Peggy (Tom) Klein, Mary (Paul) Jaynes and Kathy (Dan) Ogaz; grandchildren, Alan, Chad, Henry, Jimi, Kristy, Scott, Danielle, Bill, Candy, Nichole, Kristina, Amy, Ryan; 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Services are pending. Burial services will be private.

To the Minneker family: My father, Donald Edwards, and I are saddened to learn of your mother Peg's death. Your father and my dad were friends. He grew up across the street from your dad on Weber. Your parents served as my godparents. We still have pictures of them holding me that day. I fondly recall visiting my grandma on Weber. I remember your parents, Stella, and of course the girls. Please accept our condolences. May happy memories comfort you. My mom is always with me even though she passed away in 2004. Kim Edwards
