Mason C. Rowley

ROWLEY Mason C. Mason C. Rowley, 79, of Perrysburg, OH, died Saturday, September 15, 2007, at The Toledo Hospital. He was born in Toledo, OH on October 9, 1927, to Clyde and Mary Ann (Caple) Rowley and was married in Bowling Green, OH on July 31, 1986, to Valerie L. Rumpf. Mason attended Colver Military Academy and later attended Michigan State University and was a graduate of the University of Toledo. He enjoyed the outdoors, never wanting to be confined to an office, working for the forest service as a young man. He owned the Oregon Nursery, and was involved with farming in later years when he also fulfilled his dream of visiting Alaska. His hobbies or free time interests included snow skiing, league bowling, and hunting, especially for pheasants, He had a special place in his heart for dogs, and raised quarter horses. He is survived by his wife, Valerie; daughters, Cindy (Dean) Conway of Boston, MA, Lynn Darr of Lakewood, OH and Leigh (David) Tremp of Toledo, OH; stepdaughter, Melissa (Tim) of Duluth, MN; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, Craig (Jean) Rowley of Houston, TX. Friends will be received after 12 noon on Thursday, Septmeber 20, 2007 in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E.S. Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. with burial to follow at Fort Meigs Cemetery.
