Melvin B. Stanton, Jr., resident of Toledo, OH, passed away on April 21, 2023. Son of the late Melvin Stanton, Sr. and Mona Pierce; husband of Christena Stanton; father of Melvin Stanton III; grandfather of Jacob, Josalyn, and Colton Stanton; great-grandfather of Azalea Swaney-Stanton; brother of Arthur (Doreen) Stanton, Rickie Houk, Sandra Osentoski, and Robin Porter; nephew to his favorite "fruncle" Bernard Hartzell; many other cousins, nieces and nephews. Mel will be dearly missed by his family members and friends.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on April 25, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, OH 43614. A service is to immediately follow, also at the funeral home, at 4:00 p.m.
