Michael E. "Red" Moore

MOORE Michael E. "Red" Michael E. Moore, 69, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2008, in his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 19, 1938, to Viola (Harriger) and Melvin Moore. "Red" as he was known to many worked for the Kroger Company for 43 years beginning in his youth as a bagboy and working his way up to management. He began his career at Miracle Mile and managed several local locations including Southland and Woodville Rd. before retiring at Miracle Mile in 1998. Michael enjoyed fishing with his sons, traveling to Las Vegas, and playing cards in his Wednesday, Friday and Saturday card clubs. He bowled at Miracle Lanes for many years and was a member at St. Catherine's Church for 47 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie (Grohowski) with whom he celebrated 49 years of marriage on February 7, 2008. Also surviving are his children, Dorothy (Mathew) Mahoney, Shari (Walter) Christopher, Robert (Missy) Moore; daughter-in-law, Susan Moore; grandchildren, Angela, Scott, Sarah, Danielle, Jake, Miranda, and Hailey; great-grandchildren, Kalib, Zakery, and his dog, Boots. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; sisters, Amy and Charmane and brother, Chester. Michael's family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at St. Anne's ICU, and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the excellent care that he received. Friends are invited to visit from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2008, in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave. or after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Catherine's Church where the Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. Rev.
