Pamela Kay Schwartz

Pamela Kay Schwartz, age 70, of Rossford, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at home surrounded by family. She was born on October 30, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio, to Emil and Beatrice (née Hummer) Schwartz.

Pam is survived by her faithful companion, Judy Bullimore; bonus sons, Ben Bullimore, and Phillip (Brandon Palmer) Bullimore; bonus grandchildren, Nora Bullimore and Salem Bullimore, and their mom, Ginger Bullimore; siblings, Helen Sullivan, Carol Moffitt, Bob (Louise) Schwartz, Tom (Connie) Schwartz, JoAnn (David) Nigh, and Ramona (Pat) Duffy; brother-in-law, George Sauerwein; and many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Linda (Terry) Bart, Henry (Joanne) Schwartz, Barb Sauerwein; niece, Tammi Pettaway; and grand-nephew Donivan Moffitt.

Pam graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in Oregon, Ohio, in 1971 before attending and graduating from Mary Manse College and the University of Toledo, earning a degree in Early Childhood Education. Pam taught Kindergarten at Holy Cross Lutheran Church for 10 years and St. Thomas Aquinas Church for 10 years, both in Toledo. Pam loved being a teacher. Though the years, she often saw former students and their families after they had graduated and many of them told her she was the best teacher they ever had. Pam also worked for the United Parcel Service for 35 years, retiring as a supervisor.

Pam was distinguished member of the Toledo Troopers Women's Football team (#73), from 1971 to 1979. Pam loved to travel, especially to Florida. She also enjoyed performing, both singing and acting, as well as photography, and gardening. Pam cared for many, many beloved pets throughout her life.

Pam and her family would like to thank Pam's health care team for their unending support, in particular the team at the University of Toledo Medical Center Wound Care Clinic, Erica at Davita Southland, and Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
