Richard "Dick" Kwiatkowski

12/24/1930 - 06/15/2022

Richard "Dick" Kwiatkowski, 91, passed away on June 15, 2022, at University of Toledo Medical Center. He served for 37 years with the Toledo Police Department until his retirement as a Deputy Chief. Dick loved to dance, vacation in Florida, bowl and especially spending time in a little boat looking for Lake Erie perch.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Valerie; and children, Gregory (Sophie) and Gary Kwiatkowski. Also survived by grandchildren, Kristin and Erika; and 3 great grandchildren.

Services will be held privately for the family. Contributions in his name may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Kwi was part of the 'Old Guard' that had traditional values and feelings about police work. He was no-nonsense but also had a great sense of humor. I always respected and looked up to him. Rest in peace, Chief.
