DE BROCK Robert F. Robert F. DeBrock, 90, of Toledo passed away Friday, May 4, 2007, in Heatherdowns Convalescent Care Center. He was born December 30, 1916, in Clifton Springs, NY to Jacob and Mary (Fish) DeBrock. Bob was a WWII U.S. Army Air Corps veteran who served as a B-17 Mechanic in North Africa. He was a Sales Engineer, who developed many products, with Owens Illinois for 34 years, retiring in 1979. Bob was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a talented woodworker, crafting children's toys and even enjoyed home remodeling. Bob was a former Maumee City Councilman. An avid traveler who enjoyed cruises, Bob traveled the world with his wife and spent summers in Clear Lake, IN and wintered in Florida. The widower of Betty DeBrock who passed away April 1, 2007, Bob is survived by his loving family; daughters, Christine (Bill) Ankenbrandt and Sheila (Tom) Matzinger; sons, Gregory (Darlene), Mark (Monica) and Michael (Rae) DeBrock; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandsons. In addition to his parents and wife, Bob was preceded in death by his son, Douglas DeBrock; granddaughter, Rachel DeBrock; two brothers and one sister. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date in St. Joseph Church, Maumee.
