Robert Vernon Obituary
Robert “Rob”
Robert W. Vernon, age 49, of Toledo, Ohio passed away unexpectedly from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, July 9, 2016. He was born on April 25, 1967 in Toledo to Robert and Sharon (Kellum) Vernon. Rob was a 1985 graduate of Bowsher High School and was employed with Saia LTL Freight for the past 13 years. Rob loved riding his Harley, was an avid University of Michigan Fan and loved to make people laugh. He was full of life and was a devoted, husband, father and brother who loved his family. Rob will be forever missed but never forgotten.
Surviving are his loving wife, Samantha (Simpson) Vernon; 3 week old son, Matthew Vernon; stepchildren, Megan and Austin Thomas; sister, Julie Braatz; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Scsavnicki, Stephan Scsavnicki, Erica (Jason) Perkins, John (Jessica) Braatz and Wendy Braatz. Also surviving are many in-laws. Rob was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Nicholas Vernon.
Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd., on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 2 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will immediately follow in the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Craig officiating. So sorry to hear about Rob's tragic passing. I will always remember him and his humor while on a group Royal Caribbean cruise in 2006. Rest in peace Rob. Prayers and peace to your family.
