Ronald Hanf Obituary
04/15/1942 - 01/11/2026
Ronald L. Hanf Sr., 83, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his children at St. Vincent Hospital on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Ron was born April 15, 1942, to Karl M. Hanf and Eleanor Dean Hanf. He graduated from Macomber High School in 1960, where he played football. He was married to the love of his life, Tanya L. Hanf, who preceded him in death, for over 60 years. Ron worked as a Supervisor for the City of Toledo Forestry Division for over 34 years, retiring in 1995. He then went on to drive a school bus for Washington Local Schools for over 12 years. He was also a high school football and basketball official.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; brother, Terry Hanf; daughters, Patti and Chrystal Hanf; and grandchildren, Kaleb Hanf, Noah Hanf and Kody Roy Henkle. Ron is survived by a sister, Sandy Hanf; his children, Ron Jr. (Jackie) Hanf, Candace (Tommy) David, Todd (Tiffany) Hanf, Bonnie Hanf, Stevie Hanf and Corey Hanf; along with grandchildren, Alex (Ryan) Ray, Tyler Henkle, Bailey Henkle, Justin Hanf, Nicholas Hanf, Jordan Hanf, Taylor (Justin) Sadowski, Tracey Hanf; and great-grandchildren, Bentley, Taytum, Kaleo and Harleigh.
Visitation will be at Ansberg-West, Toledo, Ohio, Friday, January 16, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with memorial service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests giving to the following charities, Special Olympics or the American Cancer Society.
