Shawn Patrick Howard, 45 years, of Toledo, OH passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at his place of employment, Precision Strip, in Perrysburg, OH.

The son of Tim and Lynn (West) Howard, he was born July 16, 1977 in Toledo. He grew up in Bedford Township with his older sister, Brandy, and younger brother, Scott. He was a 1995 graduate of Bedford High School.

Shawn worked as a supervisor for 23 years at MTS in Bedford Township until September of 2022 when he began working at Precision Strip, where he just received a promotion before his accidental death.

In November 1998, he married Shawn M. Barnes. Shawn was so proud of his two children, Dylan Matthew and Skyler Paige Howard. He took pride in the job he and their mother did in raising two wonderful young adults. They will dearly miss him.

Shawn was very close with his mom, Lynn, who guided him into becoming the kind, intelligent, and loving man he became. He will leave a lasting void as he was always there for his family at a moment's notice.

He loved all sports, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Penguins. He also loved fishing with his brother, Scott, whom he was inseparable from as a teenager. Shawn enjoyed the Beatles and was a fan of a great tattoo.

He is survived by his loving children, Dylan and Skyler Howard; mother, Lynn Post; stepfather, Tim Post; father, Tim Howard; sister, Brandy (Steve) Magrum; special friend, Sarah Pitcher; former spouse, Shawn M. Howard; nephew, Braxton Magrum; and best friend, Bill Brady. He was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Scott; grandparents, Robert and Hedwig West, and John and Virginia Howard.

Visitation will be Friday, April 21, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel,8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI where the funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, any contributions may be made to Dylan and Skyler Howard.
