Terry Stefanski Obituary
1948 - 2021
Terry Stefanski, age 73, lost his battle with lung cancer on the evening of July 29, 2021. Terry was born on June 25, 1948 to Chester and Elsie (Nagel) Stefanski. He spent a good portion of his life growing and exploring the "Lagrinka" neighborhood. Terry attended St. Adalbert Grade School and graduated from Macomber High School in 1966.
Terry married Margaret Luczak at St. Hedwig Church on May 23, 1969 and celebrated 52 years together. Their two sons, Jay and Jeff were his pride and joy. He shared camping trips, softball games, and Jeep parades with the boys. Terry enjoyed making "Polish" kielbasa for Christmas and Easter, using an old family recipe. He broke several wooden spoons mixing the batter for "placek" too.
He worked 30 years at Chrysler-Jeep on the production line and retired in 2013. Upon retirement he took on the job of babysitting the furbabies, Bettis and Riley. He enjoyed the simple things in life.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Margaret; and sons, Jay and Jeff. Preceding him in death were his parents, Chester and Elsie (Nagel); and also his sister, Annette Hightower.
We would like to thank the staff at Promedica Ebeid Hospice, especially his nurse "CHRIS" for the love and care shown to our husband and father for the three days he was in their care.
As per terry's wishes, services and burial were private.

Please accept our sympathies - and from our whole ( Jonelle, Beth, Greg & Stephanie) family.
So sad to have heard recently of your husband's (father's) passing.
It has been many, many years since we've seen him, but we all remember him fondly while at "Gram's" house on Oakland those many years ago.
We will pray for the repose of his soul. May he rest in peace~

So sorry for your loss. My grandparents owned Karpanty Cleaners on Lagrange St down from Tom´s Carry-out. Having spent a lot of wonderful times with my grandparents, and cherishing my Polish roots and the neighborhood, I want to send a hearty thanks your way for Terry´s involvement in that area.
My experiences there helped make me the person I am today. Again, my deepest condolences.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Terry was my cousin and I have fond memories swimming with him at Rasin River when we would go on picnics as a family. Uncle Chet was my Dad Eddie Stefanski's brother. Prayers to Terry's family.
