Virginia D.



Virginia D. Dlugosielski, age 82, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Mercy St. Anne Hospital. She was born on August 2, 1930, in Toledo, OH to Michael and Henrietta (Piorkowski) Damazyn. Virginia's places of employment included AP Parts, JC Penney, Toledo Scale, and the Lucas County Clerk of Courts where she was a clerical worker for 20 years. She was a longtime parishioner of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, a member of the church's Altar and Rosary Society and a dedicated volunteer at church festivals and chicken dinners. Virginia was an excellent cook herself. She enjoyed listening to Polka music and was a big fan of University of Notre Dame athletics. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker, she cherished her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Virginia is survived by her sons, Gary (Wendy) and Mark Dlugosielski; sisters, Leona (Don) Hubay and Lori Fix; grandchildren, Amy (Jasen) Eddinger, Daniel, Andy, Caitlin, Dillon, and Blake Dlugosielski, and great-grandchildren, Hayden and Tyler. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Henrietta; step-father, John Tomaleski; husband, Anthony Dlugosielski; son, David Dlugosielski, and grandson, Steven Dlugosielski.

Family and friends may visit on Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in Regina Coeli Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
