Ann M. Dileo

Ann M. (Miserere) Dileo, 92, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family at Serenity Hospice in Hamilton, NJ. Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, she was a proud graduate of Trenton Central High School and went on to attend Rider College. Ann later settled in Hamilton Square, NJ with her husband, where they raised their family. She had a successful career at Hamilton Hospital (now Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center), where she served as Vice President of Marketing. After retirement, Ann and her husband made their home in High Bar Harbor on Long Beach Island, NJ, eventually moving to The Homestead at Hamilton.

Ann was the heart of her family - a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and loyal friend. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Colonel Leonard D. Dileo; her parents, Gabriel and Beatrice (Malespina) Miserere; her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Anne Miserere; and her brother-in-law, Joseph Tighue.

She is survived by her loving sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Sharon of Lawrenceville, NJ and David and Loretta of Yardley, PA; her grandchildren, Sarah and Logan Craig, Danielle Stubits, Michael Dileo, and Patrick Dileo; and her "precious angels" great-granddaughters, Virginia Ann "Annie" Craig, Tyler Shea Stubits, and Caroline Danielle "Cici" Craig. She also leaves behind her dear sister-in-law, Marie Tighue, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.

Of all her roles, Ann treasured being "Nanny" above everything else. Her greatest joys came from time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom she built a lifetime of treasured memories. A passionate supporter of her grandchildren, Nanny never missed a game, recital, or school event - always their most enthusiastic fan. Ann led a vibrant and fulfilling life. She traveled the world with her husband. She was an avid reader and an active participant in bridge, mahjong, and tennis well into her senior years. A talented gardener, she was a proud member of the St. Francis Garden Club and a dedicated New York Yankees fan. Ann's home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of her famous Italian meals. She loved hosting family and friends, especially on the deck of her LBI home, where many unforgettable "happy hours" were shared. Ann will be fondly remembered for her unwavering love, generosity and devotion to family, her endless energy, and her remarkable sense of style and flair.

The Dileo family extends heartfelt thanks to the Capital Health Medical Center – Second Floor Nursing Team and Serenity Hospice Care of NJ for their exceptional care and compassion in Ann's final days. A special note of gratitude goes to Gina Mattson for her outstanding, loving support.

A Funeral Mass will be held on August 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great RC Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690.

Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum in Hamilton, NJ.

A devout Catholic, Ann was active in her church communities throughout her life. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made in Ann's memory to St. Gregory the Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690 or St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 4700 Long Beach Boulevard, Long Beach Township, NJ 08008.
