He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harry O. Blackwell Sr. and Elizabeth Blackwell, and paternal grandfather, David Lewis Sr. David is survived by his mother, Ellen Stacey Blackwell, father, David Lewis Jr.; paternal grandmother, Ruby Lee Lewis; aunts, Ida Lewis, Loretta Lewis, Josephine Blackwell, Beatrice Washington, Karen Rowe, Clara Boatwright, Ruby Blackwell, Betty Blackwell, Nettie Bee Blackwell and Judy Parks; uncles, Karl R. Blackwell Jr., Harry O. Blackwell Jr., Ronald E. Platt, Danny English, George Washington, Leroy Fleming; godmothers, Rosalind Bethea, Michele Johnson, Evette Rambough, Evelyn Bethea, and Beatrice Brown; godsister, Synetta Bethea; godbrothers, Dayron Brown and Jaquan Rambough; a host of cousins and friends, special friends, Kimberly Williams, Anthony Burnette and Dysheeka Bethea.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday (July 27) at Shiloh Baptist Church, 340 Rev. S. Howard Woodson Way, Trenton. Calling hours will be 8 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton Township. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home, Trenton.
