George Gregorovic Obituary

HAMILTON - George P. Gregorovic, 83, of Hamilton Square, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, at St. Francis Medical Center with his family by his side.
He was born in St. Benedict, Pa., raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. and had been a resident of Hamilton Square for 52 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He graduated from St. John's University in 1951 with a BBA in accounting. He initially worked for Haskins and Sells, CPAs in New York followed by 23 years at the National Headquarters of the Boy Scouts of America in New Brunswick, and retired from the Mercer County Office on Aging.
George was a Past Exalted Ruler of Hamilton Elks 2262 and a member of its bowling league, Special Children's Committee and Glee Club. He was also a member of the St. Gregory the Great Senior Citizen Club and former member of its Holy Name Society, Rolling Acres Civic Association, and Nottingham Little League. George was also an avid Mets fan, enjoyed dancing, trips to Atlantic City, playing the lottery, and spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Barbara Gregorovic, his four brothers, John (Agnes), Joseph (Josephine), Stephen (Margaret), and Andrew, his four sisters, Ellen (Stanley) Keller, Mary (Edwin) Sparling, Anne (Francis) Hughes and Elizabeth (James) Normandy, his brother-in-law, James (Alice) Mullen, sister-in-law, Catherine Patrice Howell, son-in-law, Henry J. Krulewicz Jr. and nephew, James P. Mullen.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maureen M. (Mullen) Gregorovic; his seven children, Janet Gregorovic, Susan Gregorovic, Mary Krulewicz, Karen (Jeffrey) Hopf, Barbara (Donald) Pirro, Thomas (Karen) Gregorovic, and James (Carol) Gregorovic; his grandchildren, Dennis (Kelley) Gregorovic, Laura Pirro, Charlotte Pirro, Linda Pirro, and Lauren Gregorovic; his brother, Michael (Margaret) Gregorovic, sister-in-law, Dorothy Gregorovic, brother-in-law, Edgar N. Howell and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690. Interment will follow at Princeton Memorial Park Cemetery, Robbinsville. Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690. The Hamilton Elks Lodge 2622 will have services on Friday at 7 p.m. at Saul Colonial Home. www.saulfuneralhomes.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in George's name to the Hamilton Elks Lodge 2262, 1580 Kuser Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619, or to St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690.
