Joseph DeCorte Obituary

Joseph Alfred DeCorte, 60, of McKeesport, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, in UPMC McKeesport. He was born July 22, 1950, in Providence, R.I., the son of Catherine Manlick DeCorte, of Smithfield, R.I., and the late Alfred Thomas DeCorte. He was a member of St. Angela Merici Church, White Oak, and the Polish National Alliance, McKeesport. Joseph was manager of United Refrigeration Inc., Greensburg, and was an Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Wise DeCorte; son, Gregory (Heidi) Kubacky, of McKeesport; granddaughter, who was the light of his life, Rhiannon Kubacky, of McKeesport; brothers, Dennis M. (Diane) DeCorte, of Pawtucket, R.I., and Alfred T. (Beth) DeCorte Jr., of Chepachet, R.I.; a sister, Patricia (Frank) Mezzancello, of Albuquerque, N.M.; sister-in-law, Vern Frederick, of McKeesport; godchildren, Michelle DeCorte, of Smithfield, R.I., and Kelsey DeCorte, of Chepachet, R.I.; and nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 6028 Smithfield St., Boston, Elizabeth Township. A blessing service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Matthew Elanjileth officiating, followed by military honors.
