Kenneth Reynolds Obituary

On Sept. 3, 2024, Kenneth Earl Reynolds, 97, of Vandergrift, PA, was peacefully taken by the Lord while surrounded by his loving family. A son of the late Lawrence Reynolds and Lillie (Riggle) Reynolds, he was born on April 14, 1927, in Logansport, PA. As a World War II veteran, Ken proudly served his country overseas in the Philippines. Along with his son Kenny, Ken served the community for many years as proprietor of Reynolds Plumbing, Heating and Electric. As avid bowlers, Ken and Babe remained active members of the bowling community since 1959 and were grateful for the many friendships established over the last 65 years. Ken also enjoyed being outdoors spending time hunting and fishing when time from his busy schedule permitted. Ken is survived by his wife of 77 years, Loretta 'Babe' (Klingensmith) Reynolds; and his five children, Judy Bone (Jeff), Bonnie George (Jeff), Susan Reynolds (Mike Christ), Tracy Ravotti (Mike), and Ken Reynolds Jr. (Dana). In addition, Ken was blessed with eight grandchildren, Leslie Bone, Jason Bone (Alissa), Kelly Christ Mitchell (Matt), April George McQuillen (Chris), Sean George (Tina), Rachel Ravotti Lauer (Brock), Eric Reynolds, Ryan Reynolds; nine great-grandchildren, Adalyn Bone, Elliana Bone, Kayla Mullins (Colin), Kameron Garrett, Kenlee Garrett, Jordan McQuillen (Natalie), Caitlin McQuillen, and Liliana Lauer (on the way!). Ken was preceded in death by his siblings, Irene McAllister, Iva Mae Fallat, James Austin Reynolds, Lester Reynolds, and Dean Reynolds. Family and friends will be welcomed by his family from 2 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the CLAWSON FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051. A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, at the funeral home with Pam Augustine, Lay Leader, officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park, 104 Melwood Road, Lower Burrell, with military honors conducted by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard. Ken worked for my dad, Lyle Coleman at Coleman Plumbing, Heating and Electric in Vandergrift when he came home from the war. He lived on Dime Road at that time. He was my dad's favorite employee. As a young boy (10-12 years old) I went on the jobs with Ken many times and carried tools etc from the truck to where he was working. He was always very kind to me and taught me how to work and make myself useful. God bless Ken. Condolences to all.
