Robert Cronin Obituary

Robert J. Cronin, 48, of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. Mr. Cronin was born Sept. 16, 1954, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of Agnes H. Pfeifer Cronin of Mt. Pleasant and the late Edward W. Cronin, who died in 1997. Mr. Cronin was a 1972 graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School, and attended Slippery Rock University. He had been an automobile salesman at Smail Automotive in Greensburg since 1988, and was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant. Bob was a loving husband, father, son and brother. Surviving are his wife, Cindy D. Hauger Cronin; two stepchildren, Chad L. and Keri L. Zaucha, both at home; a brother, E. William Cronin Jr. of New Florence; two sisters, Patty McCracken and her husband, Don, of Greensburg and Peggy Tepper and her husband, Paul, of Mt. Pleasant RD4; his father- and mother-in-law, Clyde and Betty Hauger of Donegal; a brother- and sister-in-law, Barry and Joyce Hauger of Melcroft; beloved cousins, Lanny and Nancy Ulery; and nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 5 to 9 p.m. at GALONE-CARUSO'S, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Michael W. Matusak as celebrant. Inurnment, Middle Presbyterian Cemetery Mausoleum, Mt. Pleasant. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Diabetes Foundation, 1-800-Diabetes, or the American Cancer Society, 800-227-2345.
