Stephen Lesko Obituary

Stephen L. Lesko, 67, of Pleasant Unity, died Friday, June 20, 2003, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born July 11, 1935, in Pleasant Unity, a son of the late Steve J. and Helen J. (Sobol) Lesko. Prior to retirement, he had spent his career with the U.S. Navy, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of the former Hurst High School and the Pittsburgh Automation Institute. He was a member of St. Florian Catholic Church in United. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Helen J. Trice. Surviving are two brothers, Andrew E. Lesko and wife, Laura, of New Port Richey, Fla., and Joseph A. Lesko and wife, Anna Marie, of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Mary E. Foster and Cecelia R. Keslar and husband, John, all of Pleasant Unity; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the GAUT-BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., Pleasant Unity, where a blessing service will be held Tuesday at 9:20 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Florian Catholic Church, United, with the Rev. William C. McGuirk as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Florian Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township.
