Wayne Janczewski Obituary

Wayne Paul 'Willis' Janczewski Jr., 60, of Irwin, PA, formerly of Greensburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 24, 2025. He was born Feb. 17, 1965, in McKeesport, PA. Son of Wayne P. Janczewski Sr. and Marcia Ann Solo. He graduated from Hempfield High School, where he was involved in the Ski Club and Archery and Rifle Club, as well as attending Votech for building maintenance. He also attended and received his certificate from the Technical Training School in McKees Rocks, PA. Wayne was a construction worker for Irwin Contracting Custom Homes for 36 years. Prior to that, he was a carpenter in multiple states along the east coast, a home inspector, and a welder at Mitsubishi Advanced Chemical for four years. He was a member of the SNPJ, Roosevelt Hall, Hecla Sportsmen's, and AMS Club. Wayne loved hunting with a crossbow and rifle and fishing in Clearfield, PA, with his cousin Lane. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, and she was his right-hand little girl when doing handy work around the home. He always had a large garden, canned the produce, and was his own butcher. Wayne loved anything and everything camo, working on his truck, shooting pool, and spending time with his daughter, bowling. He enjoyed listening to '80s music and old-time country, as well as watching NCIS, Gunsmoke, The Rifleman, and the Outdoors channel on t.v. He is preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Theresa Janczewski; sister, Valerie Ramsey; and stepfather, Bernard Solo. He is survived by mother, Marcia Ann Solo of Jamestown, PA; father, Wayne (Mary) Janczewski of NC; loving fiancee of 10 years, Wendy Rambler of Irwin, PA; daughter, Jessica (fiance, Jonathan Greenawalt) Janczewski of Greensburg, PA; grandchildren, Grayson and Owen Greenawalt; sister, Michelle (Michael) Janczewski of Burbank, CA; stepbrother, David (significant other, Lisa) Solo of Greensburg, PA; stepsisters, Susan (Mark) Spallone of St. Petersburg, FL, Christine (Leo) Vensel of Greensburg, PA, and Jackie Krauland of Bristol, CT; half-brothers, Chris Janczewski of Phoenix, AZ, and Joey Janczewski of Cranberry, PA; half-sister, Jean Janczewski of New Orleans, LA; and his faithful companion, Casper. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2025, followed by the funeral service at 7 p.m. at the BEATTY-RICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Route 136, Madison, PA 15663, Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD- with Deacon Bob Stauffer, officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be made in Wayne's memory to the Lions Clubs International Foundation, Department 4547, Carol Stream, IL 60122-4547, USA.
