Stephen Vasicek Obituary

Stephen J. Vasicek, Jr., 84, of Fawn Township, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in Florida after being ill the past three years. He was born April 29, 1940 in Harrison Township to the late Stephen J. and Marie (Kalinowski) Vasicek, Sr. Stephen lived most of his life in Tarentum and Fawn Township. He was an electrician for Glenshaw Glass for a number of years and a 1958 graduate of Tarentum High School. Stephen was a veteran of the US Army serving in Germany. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his sons, Craig A. (Michelle) Goshorn, of St. John's, FL and John E. Vasicek, of Natrona Heights and five grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Diane (David) Strausser, of Myrtle Beach, SC and Theresa M. (Walter) Phillips, of Plum Boro, friend of many years Lynn Jones, of Fawn Twp. and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lorrain V. (Chada) Vasicek in 2020, daughter Elaine Rabb and a brother John Vasicek. Memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in DUSTER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 347 E 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights with military honors. Please visit dusterfh.com.
