Charles Behrens Obituary
July 8, 1937 - June 10, 2024
Gig Harbor, Washington - Charles Kenneth Behrens, 'Ken', died peacefully at his home June 10, 2024. Ken had been diagnosed with dementia and braved this challenge with his characteristic humor, faith, grace and love to the end. He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years Virginia 'Ginger' Behrens, his daughters; Joelle Behrens, Jana Behrens-Oliver, son in law Mark Oliver, and granddaughter, Sophie Schuelke. His son, Jon Behrens, passed away in 2022. Ken was a beloved father and friend to many. His country was very important to him. He joined the army after finishing high school. After completing his military service, he began his fifty plus year career in the moving and storage industry. He began as a driver, then sales, and ultimately became President of Mitchell Moving and Storage in Seattle Washington. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, September 21, at St. John's Episcopal church in Gig Harbor, where Ken was a member.
