Kenneth Johnson Obituary

Kenneth (Kenny) Johnson
August 20, 1948 - March 11, 2022
Tacoma, Washington - Kenneth Dale Johnson
Kenny passed away at Auburn General Hospital on March 11th, 2022. He was born at Tacoma General Hospital on August 20th, 1948 to Merrell and Luetta Johnson. He graduated from Franklin Pierce High School in 1966. After high school, there was brief period of time he went to work in a machine shop. Later he became a carpet and home remodeler leading to the opening of the Poor People's Carpet Barn. He definitely was an entrepreneur in his own right but it was the carpet business that he always returned to.
He leaves behind his twins Tyler and Amber Smith, his brother Gary and his wife Jackie, a niece and nephew and several cousins. Kenny loved his children, family and friends very much.
There will be a celebration of life at the 2121 Tavern on April 20th from 3 PM to 7 PM.

Sorry and sad to learn of Kennys passing.
He was a great friend to the Carlson family. We had lots of interactions over the years.
We will remember Kenny with many positive thoughts.

Sorry for the loss of Kenny. He was a longtime , dear friend who was like family to me. We all had such great memories starting back in high school and the laughs continued throughout the years. Kenny is one-of-a-kind and will be missed by many.
